Rhinos Prepare for First Home Game
The 2009 Arkansas Rhinos football team will play its first home game on Saturday, July 11th, at 7 p.m. against the Arkansas Wildcats at Jacksonville Middle School (Red Devil Stadium), Jacksonville, AR. This will be the first meeting between these two Arkansas teams since 2006 when the Rhinos took on the Northwest Wildcats. The Rhinos look to improve their offense which struggled in week one against Memphis Panthers with 173 total offense.
Whereas the Rhinos' defense is loaded with talent lead by Enrico Wilkins, Ben and Sam Witcher, and newcomer Tyler Knight. Arkansas Rhinos’ defense has never been ranked lower than sixth in total defense from 2003-08. Head Coach Jamie Washington uses a multiple front system with a blitz-heavy emphasis that features a variety of blitz coverages.
