With one of the biggest games of the year, the Arkansas Rhinos will be without offensive coordinator Scott Breeze due to personal reasons. Head Coach Oscar Malone will step in as the Rhinos offensive coordinator for the rest of the regular season. Arkansas hasn't forgotten what happened the last time it played the Memphis Panthers. "That's definitely something that's in the back of our minds," Head Coach Oscar Malone said. History seems to favor the Rhinos, who have won seven of the last 10 in the series.

The Arkansas Rhinos Football Club is looking for high-energy, experienced Emcees for the 2008 Arkansas Rhinos Football season. The Rhinos' mascot must be comfortable speaking in front of large crowds, must have a great personality, a flexible schedule to work all Rhinos home games and events.

STORM TOO MUCH FOR RHINOS
By JASON KING Leader sportswriter Oscar Malone has sung the praises of his defense all summer, but the Arkansas Rhinos head coach is ready to rearrange the chorus when it comes to offense. The Rhinos lost to the Nashville Storm 19-12 on Saturday at Red Devil Field in a defensive battle in which Arkansas managed only 74 yards of total offense. Three unanswered touchdowns by the Storm from the end of the first half on allowed them to keep their No. 1 ranking in the North America Football League. The win also kept them atop the Tennessee Valley Conference standings.

Rhinos looks to stay perfect in Jacksonville
The deep-seated football rivalry between Arkansas Rhinos and Nashville Storm has historically spilled over into the politics and society of the two states Arkansas and Tenneessee. As is typical of such games, it is usually scheduled to be the third regular-season game for each team and is always played in August. The Rhinos leads the series 7-5, but Nashville has won the last three meetings, their longest winning streak in the series.

SHOWDOWN IN MEMPHIS
The undefeated Rhinos this season through 2 games, and the highly ranked Memphis Panthers looks to face-off for the first time this season. “Memphis Panthers is a very solid, veteran ball club,” said Rhinos coach Oscar Malone. “We are obviously going to have our hands full because of the last meeting against the Panthers we won by one point. The Rhinos have won eight of the last 10 meetings between the clubs; including a last second win in Memphis last season. The kick-off is set for 7:05pm Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Memphis TN.

ROAD TRIP
Arkansas Rhinos get off to a solid start winning 2 games in June including a shutout victory over old rival The Memphis Blast 22-0. The Rhinos are traveling to Clarksville, TN to take on The Tri City Knights kick-off is @ 7:00pm this Saturday. Coach Malone hopes to keep the winning streak going against the tuff Knights team.

Independence and Freedom
Fourth of July brings on the cheerful times of Red, White and Blue. With barbecues, picnics, parades and fireworks lined up, the reasons to celebrate are many. The Arkansas Rhinos would like to wish everyone happiness and good times for their Fourth of July.

RHINOS ROLLS TO 2-0
JACKSONVILLE, AR. - Behind a strong second-half performance, Arkansas Rhinos posted a 22-0 Home Opener win over Memphis Blast Saturday night in Jacksonville Red Devil Stadium. After the Rhinos (1-0) and The Blast (0-2) battled to a 0-0 tie at the half, The Rhinos shut out Memphis in four quarters while scoring 22 unanswered points to secure the triumph.

RHINOS vs. BLAST II
Are you ready for some football??? The time is finally here. The Arkansas Rhinos will face the Memphis Blast on Saturday, June 28th at 7 p.m. at the Jacksonville Middle School Red Devil Stadium. The Rhinos defeated the Blast 34-7 in Memphis on June 14th. The Blasts are looking for revenge and the Rhinos are anticipating their second win. This game will be filled with hard hits and exciting plays. Please don't miss it.

GETTING READY
The Arkansas Rhinos have responded well to time off this week, beating Memphis Blast by 27 on the road last weekend. After their bye week the Rhinos will face the Memphis Blast again but this time the game will be home in Jacksonville (Jacksonville Middle School). The Rhinos went back to work on Thursday’s to work on the first game mistakes. Coach Malone felt the team needed to do a better job running the ball. With a lack of persistence in attempting to develop our ground attack, and a general lack of ball control could have impacted the Rhinos defense. With next week practice Coach Malone and staff will work to have the team ready for the home opener Saturday, June 28 @ JACKSONVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL 7:00PM KICK-OFF….

RHINOS 34 BLAST 7
The Arkansas Rhinos and Memphis Blast met for the first time since 2002. The rivalry between Rhinos and Blast played Saturday afternoon at Hank’s Field in Memphis TN. The Rhinos jumped on the Blast early when third year kicker Garrett Morgan put the Rhinos on the board first with a 17yd field goal making it 3-0 Rhinos

Rhinos Football Scrimmage Open to Public
The first open scrimmages for the Arkansas Rhinos football team will be held this Thursday, May. 29 @ Booker Arts Magnet Elementary School (2016 Barber St, Little Rock, AR 72206). RHINOS MEDIA DAY
The Arkansas Rhinos Football Club Media Day will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008 beginning at 9 a.m.at the Burger King Restaurant located at 2010 John Harden Dr., Jacksonville, AR. WELCOME BACK
Arkansas Rhinos veterans reported to their first practice of the year since October 2007. Head Coach Oscar Malone said” Practice was unbelievable”, “ I thought some of the players came to practice in better shape then last season and ready to work. The guys were very professional and they already know what they are doing, and I loved it.”

STEPPING UP
The Rhinos have signed Richard Strickland wide receiver from UCA, Lance Smith wide out from Henderson State, and K. Broadway from ASU. With the signing of these three receivers the Rhinos are looking to make a big impact in the air this season. Offensive coordinator Scott Breezy has compared this receiving core to the undefeated 2005 wide outs James Jackson, Anthony Lampkin, & Ernest Williams.

NEW SEASON BRINGS CHANGES FOR ARKANSAS RHINOS
The Arkansas Rhinos, of the NAFL, have begun practice in preparation of the upcoming 2008 season. Rhino’s fans are in for a new change that may actually seem like a trip down memory lane. Coach Oscar Malone returned as the Rhinos new Head Coach. It may not be new to true Rhinos fans, as they will remember him from being the head coach in 2006. Malone leaded the Rhinos to a 10-3 record that season and into the third round of the NAFL Playoffs. Malone is a native of Alabama and played football at the University of Arkansas.

RHINOS FIND NEW HOME IN JACKSONVILLE
The Arkansas Rhinos have moved next-door from North Little Rock to Jacksonville where they will be playing their games at Red Devil Stadium, Jacksonville Middle School. The Rhinos have been based out of the Little Rock and North Little Rock area since 2001. The Arkansas Rhinos are a Semi Professional team in the North America Football League (NAFL).

RHINESTONE AUDITION
The Arkansas Rhinos are in search of beautiful and dynamic women to become a part of the NAFL's elite Arkansas Rhinos Cheerleaders. No previous dance/cheer experience required. Pre-audition workshops are held the week prior to tryouts. They are designed to help you prepare for auditions so you can look and feel your best.

FORMER RHINO SIGNED WITH THE GRAND RAPIDS RAMPAGE
Former Arkansas Rhinos Linebacker Michael Shack of North Little Rock just signed with the Grand Rapids Rampage an AFL 1 team out of Kentwood, Michigan. He started his football career in 1999 at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where he was a preseason all-southwest Athletic Conference selection as a junior after logging 73 tackles, four sacks, six forced fumbles and two interceptions in 2000.

Quarterback controversy in Rhinos Camp
In the Arkansas Rhinos off season Head Coach Oscar Malone signed three quarterbacks for the 2008 season. Front runner Jeremiah Crouch from Indiana, Former Arkansas Baptist quarterback Joshua Dixon, and Travone James from the University of Arkansas Monticello.

TOP PROSPECTS
The Arkansas Rhinos, of the North American Football League, will be holding an invitational only tryout this Saturday, April 5th 11am registration at the North Little Rock High School practice field (old Main). Participants should come prepared with cleats, track shoes, and tennis shoes. Kicker tryouts will be conducted at a separate time and date still to be determined. The Rhinos will open its eight season in the NAFL when the 2008 season kicks off in July. Last year, the Rhinos finished the season at 7-4 reaching the NAFL playoffs for the seventh time in club history.

COACH MALONE IMPRESSED AT TRYOUTS
The Arkansas Rhinos of the North American Football League hosted an open tryout on Saturday March 29th at War Memorial Stadium. Looking to build on his team that finished the 2007 season 7-4, Rhinos Head Coach Oscar Malone was impressed with the tryout despite the cold weather.

Lauren Thompson joined the Arkansas Rhinos team as the new Public Relations and Event Coordinator. With Lauren proven experience as a Rhinestone cheerleader for the past two seasons. The Rhinos were pleased with her wide range of skills and practical experience, gained over many years of `front line’ activity.

NEW RHINOS
Floyd Smith and Scott Breeze were hired Wednesday as assistant coaches for the Arkansas Rhinos football Club. Smith and Breeze accepted the jobs in an effort to help the Rhinos football program continue its return to prominence. The Arkansas Rhinos were 7-4 last season after losing in the first round in the 2007 playoffs. The Rhinos have added 30 years of football experience to their staff for the 2008 season. Rhinos owner Oscar Malone said “ after meeting with Smith & Breeze I knew they were a perfect fit for the program”. The Rhinos are looking for a championship run in 2008.

RHINOS TO TWISTERS
Ben and Sam Witcher moved up to the Arkansas Twisters an AFL2 team after playing three seasons with the semi-pro team The Arkansas Rhinos. The Witcher’s helped the Rhinos make the league title game in '05 under the leadership of head coach Oscar Malone and earning All-Star honors as kick returners, corners, and safety.

2007 PLAY-OFFS
The NAFL playoffs get under way Saturday. Will it lead to another team from the south playing for the National Championship? Will an underdog Rhinos emerge? The six seed Rhinos are working hard to advance to there first ever National Championship game. Back in 2005 the 13- 0 Rhinos were one game away from the Big Game.

Rhinos 15 Panthers 12
The Arkansas Rhinos defense played like the Rhinos of old. This passed weekend the Rhinos squared up against the Memphis Panthers. The Rhinos found themselves down 6 –0 mid way through the first quarter, until defensive back and wide receiver Marcus Yarbrough caught a 41yd touchdown pass from QB Lawrence Copling, point after good 7-6 Rhinos.

RHINOS vs. PANTHERS II
The Arkansas Rhinos season has come down to this. Arkansas must beat the Memphis Panthers to have seven wins on the season and a chance to be in the playoffs. Memphis is now second in the division behind unbeaten Nashville Storm. If the Rhinos upset the Panthers they would move into the second spot, with a greater chance of making the playoffs. The Rhinos have won four games in a row, with the fifth game being the deciding one. Rhinos vs. Panthers in Memphis, TN. 7:00 kick-off.

Rivalry Week
The Arkansas Rhinos travel to Rogers, AR. to play the Arkansas War Cats. The Rhinos won the first meeting between the two 29-21. Running back Calvin Withers ran for over 150 yards and a touchdown. Back up running back Joe Wesson also ran for over 100 yards and scored the game’s first touchdown. Quarterback Lawrence Copling threw for 216yds in his second start. Rhino’s kicker Garrett Morgan kicked a Rhinos record a 50yd field goal to put the Rhinos up for good. The Arkansas Rhinos and the Arkansas War Cats have now become a great in-state rivalry.

Impressive win
The Rhinos capped one of the most impressive win of the season thus for beating Texarkana Warriors 52 – 6. Rhino’s quartback Lawrence Copling played a great game throwing touchdowns to four different Rhino’s receivers.

Switching gears
Arkansas Rhinos are off to their worst start since 2004 finishing 5-6 under first year coach Oscar Malone. The Rhinos loss for the third time this season to arch rival Nashville Storm 35-21. The Rhinos are looking to redeem themselves this weekend against Texarkana Warriors in Pine Bluff, AR. @ Dollarway High School 7:00pm kick-off $5.00 at the gate. This will be the Rhinos first time to play a football game in Pine Bluff, which hope to be an enjoyable one.

RHINOS vs STORM
The Rhinos would like for everyone to come out this Saturday and show your support in their battle against their biggest rival...the Nashville Storm. In their first meeting of the season the Storm served the Rhinos their first loss so they are looking for vengeance. This game will be one for the books.

RHINOS vs XTRA PART II
The Rhinos vs Xtra: a renewed in-state rivalry Saturday August 11, @ Mills High School, kick-off 7:00pm. The Arkansas Rhinos and The Arkansas Xtra football programs were less than a year old when the two teams staged the first game of what was to become the most intense in-state rivalry in the NAFL.

RHINOS 23 STORM 31
The Rhinos open the 2007 season with a loss the #2 Nashville Storm Saturday, July 21 in Nashville, TN. The Rhinos started the game scoring first on a pass from first year QB Jeremiah Crouch to Jeremy Matthews. Nashville struck back with a 55yr pass point after failed Rhinos leads 7-6. Rhinos QB Ty Forte hooked up with Faqaun Harris on the Rhinos second touchdown. On the next possession Garrett Morgan kicked a 38yr field goal to extended the lead to17-6 at the half.

The partnership formed between the Arkansas Rhinos and the Little Rock Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers proved to be a great one. On Thursday June 21, the Rhinos teamed with the Zoo Keepers for the Bowling for Rhinos charity event at Millennium Bowl. The event drew all kinds of participants including some Arkansas Rhinos football players. Charity Dawson, the event coordinator, announced that this year’s event was by far the biggest. Along with the bowling, there was a silent auction that featured all kinds of items. As a sponsor, the Rhinos donated an Arkansas Razorback golf bag. Once again the event was a great success thanks to all supporters.

ARKANSAS RHINOS AND LIFE CHAMPS 2ND ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Former Arkansas Razorbacks Oscar Malone and Anthony Lucas have teamed up again to hold the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament to be held June 15, 2007 at Stone Links Golf Course in North Little Rock, AR. 12 noon is registration time and tee time begins at 1:00pm. The tournament proceeds will benefit the Life Champs youth sports organization of which Anthony Lucas is the Director, the Little Rock Zoo's Save The Rhino campaign and the Arkansas Rhinos football team. The entry costs are $300 per 4-man team or $75 per individual. There will be goodie bags for all entrants. Individual prizes for a variety of individual accomplishments. Other Arkansas celebrities are expected to be in attendance as well. Food, fellowship and fun for everyone.
