Fourth of July brings on the cheerful times of Red, White and Blue. With barbecues, picnics, parades and fireworks lined up, the reasons to celebrate are many. The Arkansas Rhinos would like to wish everyone happiness and good times for their Fourth of July.
Come to CiCi’s Pizza in Jacksonville 120 John Haroin DR. on Saturday, June 20th for a special event: “Meet The Arkansas Rhinos”. Each member of the 2009 Rhinos – including Mississippi Valley State All America Tyler “Superman” Knight, The University of Memphis’ Haracio Colen winner of the ESPN The Magazine Courage Award, and a host of talented players will be on-site to sign autographs and meet fans. Those in attendance will also have an opportunity to purchase Arkansas Rhinos 2009 season tickets. The season tickets are for five Rhinos’ home games for as little as $25 or single game tickets for $6 dollars each. Fans of all ages can also enjoy music, Rhinos’ mascot Rocco will be there and other entertainment for kids of all ages. Today the owner of the Arkansas Rhinos, Oscar Malone, has unveiled the new comprehensive brand that includes a new logo and new uniforms for the 2009 season. The new Rhinos logo will be featured on each side of the helmet. This is the most significant change for the Rhino-brand since the logo was first placed on the team’s helmet in 2001.

The partnership formed between the Arkansas Rhinos and the Little Rock Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers proved to be a great one. On Thursday June 21, the Rhinos teamed with the Zoo Keepers for the Bowling for Rhinos charity event at Millennium Bowl. The event drew all kinds of participants including some Arkansas Rhinos football players. Charity Dawson, the event coordinator, announced that this year’s event was by far the biggest. Along with the bowling, there was a silent auction that featured all kinds of items. As a sponsor, the Rhinos donated an Arkansas Razorback golf bag. Once again the event was a great success thanks to all supporters.
